How much will a quilt cost?
It depends on the size, style, fabric and
quilting design. To see a general estimate for

How long does it take to make a quilt?
It takes us 4-6 days to make a queen size quilt, from washing and ironing the fabric to attaching the label.
How long until I receive my quilt?
Once you approve the fabric and we receive your deposit, you should have your finished quilt in 5-7 weeks.
How do I order a quilt?
The best thing to do is to call us. (You may also email us, and we’ll return your call.) We will help you choose a quilt style and size, and tell you how to pick colors if you need assistance. There is a printable order form on this website which is very helpful to us, or we will be happy to mail one to you.
How do I pick colors?
Most people send us paint chips and a picture of the room, and we send back style suggestions and fabric swatches. If you are redecorating, remember that it’s easier to match paint to fabric than the other way around.
How do I measure my bed?
Measure the width, then the length of the mattress. (see the order page for a chart of standard mattress sizes.) Measure the “drop,” or the vertical distance from the top of the mattress to however long you would like the quilt to hang. Most quilts are made to go right to the headboard and the pillows are put into pillow shams. If you would prefer a pillow tuck (the quilt is long enough to tuck under the pillows) instead of shams, just let us know.
What is the difference between your quilts and the handmade quilts that the department stores sell?
Our quilts are made well, to be used well. They are strong enough to tolerate machine washing and drying. Our quilt tops and backs are made of 100% cotton. Our batting is either needle punch polyester or 100% cotton (for a heavier, flatter quilt). Our quilts are machine made, but made by our hands right here in our shop. We also do all our own machine quilting. Our quilts will last a lifetime or longer, and we guarantee our work. Machine made stitches are much stronger than hand stitches; therefore the quilts are stronger.
Can I launder my quilt? How?
Yes, but please not too often! You can machine wash in cold water on gentle cycle with a mild detergent. You may dry your quilt in a dryer, but it is much better to hang it wrong side up on a clothesline in the shade on a nice day.
What is a signature or album quilt?
This is simply a quilt made with light spaces for signing.
